This cake made for my cousin who recently returned from kl. It is a walnuts mix fruit cake. I use fondant icing. Decor it with a simple touch. I bought flowers from the store.

This is a cheesecake that I made during Christmas. My cousin has been requesting me to do it. I have wondered how to make cakes with interesting decorations. Then I got on youtube and find some Christmas decoration theme. I grated a cheddar cheese and it was a little bit harsh, next Christmas, i will improve it....wait and see..

What do i need to prepare?

Hmm..what do i need for the beginner like me? Maybe i can list down here for my preparation, but i can't buy everything at one time, due my budget is not good enough. Just for a simple² thing and for basic only. So here are my basic equipment:- 1) Hand mixer 2) A bowl 3) Wire whisk 4) Baking pan 5) Oven (mine is small one) still a lot of 'must have' equipment i have to buy huh? Still searching for a cheap shop selling all this item. There is one shop called 'Bake With Me' at Putatan, just a small shop but packed with all the bakery equipments. The price are reasonable but not so many choices u can get. At one corner, there some professional baker i think, talking about their homemade cakes costing about RM20++ but can sell about RM100++?? I wish i can do like them..... But..need to buy a lot of thing...............

Beginner

Hi..my name is Janet.I have 2 kids in a age 11 months & 4 years old. Both are boys. I am working. I love to bake but still in a learner process. My sifu is a Youtube. I just type what recipe i want and they will search for me, there are so many recipes that i can get in all over the world. So, i think Youtube is the best search engine I have found so far. And for now, i also search a few blog relate to baking. Hopefully i can make my kids birthday cakes for this year. Wish me luck!
